Q: To make use of Vox's Supafone, an ADSL line is required - what size ADSL line is required?
A: A 384Kb ADSL line is the minimum requirement.

Q: How many minutes will I get with a 1 Gig cap?
A: if used only for the phone with no emails, attachments, downloads etc - it will give you approximately 4200min of call time!

Q: If I register as a Vox Dealer do I automatically get a Supafone?
A: No, the Supafone is not part of the Dealer Pack.

Q: How do I get paid from incoming calls?
A: You get a 15c per minute rebate on every call to your 087 number at peak times and 9c per minute rebate from every call to your 087 Number on off peak times. Your rebate will be reflected as a credit on your account after 60 days.

Q: How much can I save with a Vox Voice product?
A: Dependent on call patterns, a customer can save up to 50% on their current phone bill. We suggest the customer uses the online Savings Calculator in order to compare their current telecommunications costs. Customers can also peruse the Vox rates and compare. Both the Savings Calculator and Vox rates are available for viewing on the homepage of this site www.vox.co.za

Q: Does the Supafone belong to me?
A: There are three packages currently available. The Package 225 and the Package 500 are per month rental packages with a 30 day cancellation period and the Supafone always remains the property of Vox. The Package 99 however will belong to the customer at the end of the 12 month period.

Q: How long does it take to process my Supafone order?
A: Credit cards:
Credit card payments are processed immediately.

Debit order:
Debit orders are run daily. Orders will only be processed once the money has cleared in our bank account, up to 5 days, we then need 1-2 days for delivery. See question below for more information on deliveries.

Q: How soon can I expect my supafone to be delivered?
A: Once payment is successfully received your order will be processed.
Orders processed before 2 p.m. can expect delivery
  • The next working day in main centres
  • Within 2 working days in regional areas
Orders processed after 2 p.m. fall over to the next working day and the above delivery times apply.

Q: When can I expect my dealer pack?
The shipping of dealer packs follows the same procedure as the Supafone. Please see above.

Q: What happens if I put in the wrong sponsor number?
A: Avoid doing this if possible!
If you do, then you need to contact your Sponsor or the Vox Service Centre urgently (087 805 9111 or help@voxtelecom.co.za). You will be moved to the correct sponsor number; however, Vox cannot guarantee that commission calculations on purchases already processed under the incorrect sponsor number can be rectified.

Q: How do I upgrade from Customer to Dealer?
A: You need to purchase a Dealer Kit on your current membership number. A once off membership fee of R780 is applicable and thereafter an annual renewal fee of R150 per annum.

Q: Is Vox's Voice quality good?
A: Vox has invested extensively on core infrastructure to ensure that our quality is at the highest standard possible and above 4 on the Mean Opinion Score.

Q: What is the Mean Opinion Score?
A: This is a standard measure of Voice quality used by all the International Telecommunications Companies.

Q: Can we use some other network like Wireless or WiMAX?
A: No, currently Vox's service has been optimised for and ADSL Network. Vox is always researching other technologies like WiMAX, but consistency and quality are the two main components

Q: How expensive is it to phone Vox?
A: That depends on where the call is coming from; all calls from the Cellular networks will be priced at the customer?s standard cell phone charge. Calls from Telkom are charged at R1.51.

Q: How do I cancel my service?
A: Simply notify the Service Desk in writing on help@voxtelecom.co.za.
