What's the difference between structured and unstructured data?

Structured data is data stored in a database while unstructured data is data stored in file servers and on NAS devices throughout your environment. Vox Archiving is designed to make sense of this unstructured data.

Is my archived data safe?

Vox Archiving is a fully redundant solution. We store two copies of your files in case of disaster. We are also ISO27001 compliant.

How easy is it to access my archived data?

Archived files are accessed in exactly the same way as non-archived files in the same file location. Our software automatically downloads the archived file when the user requests it. No third party tools or portals are required.

How do I know how much cloud storage I need?

Our comprehensive storage audit will give complete insight into the unstructured data in your data estate.

What format is my archived data saved in?

The data is saved in the same format as on site and can be accessed easily using a compatible S3 storage browser. This means that there is no vendor lock-in.

Are there egestion costs involved in downloading an archived file?

No, Vox doesn’t charge egestion fees for moving data from the archive.
