What do I have to do when my Fibre line is down?

Absolutely nothing. The switch from Fibre to the Fixed LTE-A network should be seamless. You can continue to work as normal.

How does the billing work?

Subscribe to the service from as little as R35 per month, or, if needed, add a compatible router for R120 per month.

When your Fibre line goes down, you’ll have the option to purchase a once-off Top Up bundle to keep you connected. Alternatively, choose a monthly Data bundle subscription to always have on hand in the event of a failover scenario.

Will I receive notifications when my Fibre line is down?

Yes, when your Fibre line is down or unavailable you will receive a notification informing you that you are now consuming Data on the Fixed LTE-A network. Once the Fibre line is available again, you will receive a confirmation notification.

Can I order the LTE-A Failover service while I wait for Fibre to be installed?

No, the LTE-A Failover service is dependent on your Fibre line being installed first. Once this is done, one of our on-site engineers will be able to set up your LTE-A Failover service.

What hardware can I use with the Fixed LTE-A Failover service?

Vox engineers will always be required to setup the LTE-A Failover solution, even in the case of a SIM-only package.

Are Fixed LTE-A Failover service speeds guaranteed?

No, Fixed LTE-A is a best effort service and unfortunately speeds cannot be guaranteed.

Can I upgrade my package?

Yes, the upgrade will be valid from the first (1st) day of the following month and upgrades can be made via the Vox Customer Zone.

What RICA rules apply?

RICA documents will be required upon ordering the LTE-A Failover service. These include:

A certified copy of your ID
Proof of address, not older than 3 months
